Mr. McHugh grew up in Glenview, Illinois with his mom, dad and little brother, Matt. Mr. McHugh starting singing and playing the clarinet in fourth grade. Since then, he has learned how to play the trumpet, the ukulele, and bass guitar, and the piano. He has also been singing a lot in choirs, by himself, or with his a capella group in college.
In 2006, Mr. McHugh moved out to Yorkville and got a job teaching music at Grande Reserve. He has been teaching music and completely loving it for eleven years now. It sure doesn't feel like it's been that long.He especially loves teaching with his buddies Mrs. Moss, ans Mrs. Devine.
In 2008, Mr. McHugh got married to Mrs. McHugh (the librarian at BGS and YGS). They have a dog, named Georgie (she's a wheaton terrier mix). She's definitely a dog with a lot of personality.
When they're not teaching, Mr. and Mrs. McHugh scrape together their pennies and travel the world. We've been to all seven continents.
